Founded in 1978, Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) is the only national Vietnam veterans organization congressionally chartered and exclusively dedicated to Vietnam-era veterans and their families. We are founded on the principle that "never again will one generation of veterans abandon another."
The goals of VVA are simple, we desire to promote and support the full range of issues important to Vietnam veterans, to create a new identity for this generation of veterans, and to change public perception of Vietnam veterans.
VVA is the largest Vietnam veterans organization in the country. Our membership is over 60,000 individual members strong, with 46 chartered state councils and 630 local chapters.
